Surya World is an International Organization for mutual assistance. Our objective is to create, develop and manage holistic projects for the benefit of the environment and humankind throughout the world, particularly the most disadvantaged.

The vision of Surya World is to enable the progressive opening of an individual to its surroundings through the assimilation of multi-disciplinary knowledge, for an integral (complete) understanding of humanity and its relationship to its environment. Like the sun that rises in the east and sets in the west, at Surya World we build bridges between the ancient traditions of the east and the modernity of the west to develop an integral culture for the global village of the world of today.

The motives that lead us to consider learning an art be it martial, energetic, psychological, yogic or meditative are many: to learn, to grow, to blossom, to gain self-confidence, to be more serene in the face of life’s vicissitudes, to acquire knowledge, technical expertise or to master. Whatever the reason, what is common amongst them is that they give something to us as individuals. The primary motivation of a student is to help him or herself.

Surya World offers a public programme of workshops, retreats, seminars and classes in various Integral Arts: Yoga, Taiji Quan, Wing Chun, Qi Gong, Meditation and Psychology amongst others. Our teaching is directed towards an understanding of the whole and to shedding light on the logic and ties between the different disciplines. In this way, we integrate the best that these ancient teachings have to offer mankind, into our daily lives.

In this phase, we focus on participation in collective projects and opening up to mutual assistance within our entourage. Our aim is to establish laboratories for ecological living, integral training and education open to all interested on selected sites throughout the world.

We work on a range of ecological issues from habitat, nutrition and water to agriculture, reforestation and community living. Our projects bring together the best resources on all these areas through extensive research with specialists on each subject. Whether teaching an Integral Art after acquiring a degree of expertise, or engaging in collective projects, our group work is organized around the high-level singular skills of our members and is strengthened by the power of connection with the most remote and distant groups, made possible by the Internet.

The final and most important vocation of Surya World is to help one another and we do this through our humanitarian activities around the world. Motivated by service towards humanity we continuously engage in the development of ecologically sustainable community and humanitarian projects.

We achieve this by contributing to existing charities and by providing solutions that enable the basic needs and education of vulnerable communities and groups to be met. The individual, relational, intellectual and technical skills of Surya World’s members are combined for the benefit of all our projects.
