to 31/01/12. During your vacation on the beautiful beach of
Varkala, you will be able to appreciate the benefits of a complete ayurvedic cure, cooking lessons and quality traditional yoga instruction.

The Panchakarma

The Panchakarma aims to achieve and maintain this state of grace. It regroups a large palette of treatments such as two or four handed massages, massages with the feet, sudation (sweating), enemas, body scrubs, eye treatments, plant treatments. For example, Abhyanga, which is the massaging of oils into the forehead, Pizzichili-the royal act of oiling the whole body, accompanied by a fourhanded massage.
More than 40 different treatments are practiced in this center.
Each care is specific and conducted by a professional practitioner. At the end of the fortnight, a final consultation will be held with a group of Ayurvedic doctors to counsel each individual on a balanced diet and adapted guidelines for living.
Yoga
Throughout the two weeks, it will be possible to follow daily yoga lessons given by a yoga teacher. The combined effects of Ayurvedic treatments and daily yoga will help to attain a subtle deepening within the body and mind.
Cooking lessons
Cooking lesson will be held during the two-week cure.They will be taught by an expert in Ayurvedic cuisine, who makes the most delicious dishes throughout Kerala in a very traditional environnement

A high quality Ayurvedic center

The ayurvedic center is located a few miles from Trivandrum. It is situated on one of India’s most breathtaking beaches. The area is luxuriant with vegetation and the bungalows are nestled in between coconut trees and magnificent hibiscus plants. Besides the beauty of the area, the center also has the privilege of having among its ranks a knowledgeable team of ayurvedic doctors and therapists. The treatments and cures are adapted to your constitution and are therefore, completely personalised. For several years now, this center’s reputation has been recognised by the yoga community. The food

Food plays a big part in ayurvedic cures for the rebalancing of the system. The center proposes a refined cuisine that respects the Ayur-Veda principals. Of course, each individual will have a specific diet in accordance with his or her needs, whether they are of the vata, Pitta, or Kapha constitutional type.
Each person will be given an adapted menu defined by an Ayurvedic doctor. The food is traditional and varied in order to better restore the body’s ‘light’. The diversity of the tropical fruits is incomparable:
pineapples, papayas, mangoes, bananas and coconuts are some of the Keralan delights.

Budget and currency:
The Indian national currency is the rupee. Credit cards are accepted by boutiques situated in grand
Hotels. Euros and dollars easily exchanged. 1 Euro equal 67 INR.
Tips : It is generally traditional to tip or offer presents to your driver and guide. It is however at your
discretion.

Pharmacy - Health:
It is recommended that you bring your own medicine. Aspirin, bandages, alcohol 90 °, intestinal antiseptic,
small scissors, sun-block (lips too), mosquito repellent (all in sufficient quantities).
Vaccinations: even if no vaccination is obligatory you may ask your personal doctor’s advice.

Baggage: what to bring?
Preferably, a supple bag in the style of a Marine’s bag,
Comfortable and simple cotton clothing,
Light shoes for walking and sandals to relax in,
Bathing suit,
Shorts or bermudas,
Light pants (linen, cotton, etc),
Tee-shirts,
Sun glasses,
Sun protection cream,
Mosquito repellent.
